Welcome

House of knowledge Log-um was founded in May 2002. It is a non-governmental organization for the development of study skills and encouragement of creativity. It is the first institution of this type in Slovenia that provides expert learning and motivation assistance for unemployed citizens and primary, secondary and university students with learning problems.

At the same time it provides young people with new possibilities for creative usage of their spare time. Our goal, besides giving professional educational help to our youth for different school subjects, is to offer various possibilities of gaining new knowledge discover new abilities and activities and persuade them that there are many better and safer ways to spend their free time than the street with all its dangers.

In the past years Log-um has organized different workshops and exhibitions for youth (for example workshops Beatbox and LiveVideo, a DJ school), program Šolska Točka (an "after-school program" established in elementary schools intended for students to finish their homework, learn and creatively spend the time after school) and lectures and workshops on Safe sex and AIDS prevention.

Our everyday activities evolve around children and youth. Students with learning problems and students with a desire to learn new languages or improve the knowledge they already have, visit us almost everyday of the week between 8.00 AM and 8.00 PM.

A section of Log-um is active in Murska Sobota, SLO, and offers help, counsel and therapy to former illegal drugs addicts who have already gone through the process of rehabilitation and are trying to reorganize their lives.
